Hendrike Scharmann is a multi-instrumentalist and sound healer based in Brussels, Belgium. Her journey into sound began with the violin, studying jazz and improvisation at the Antwerp Conservatory.

But music has always meant more to her than performance—it’s been a way to connect, to listen deeply, and to explore unseen layers of experience.
Travel has played a vital role in shaping her path. Wandering through North Africa and the Middle East, she learned how music speaks across cultures.

It was a nine-month journey through India that truly changed her. Immersed in meditative sound traditions and local music rituals, she began to sense how sound could touch something far beyond the mind—how it could heal. That realization planted a seed.

Since then, she followed that thread with heart and dedication. Hendrike trained in various Sound Healing modalities and built her own practice here in Brussels. She offers sound baths, vocal workshops, and one-on-one sessions, creating spaces where sound becomes a tool for presence, release, and transformation.

In 2024, this work deepened further, receiving support from the Belgian government to research the power of sound, vibration, and resonance in Nepal—exploring both the scientific and spiritual dimensions of this ancient practice. For Hendrike, sound healing is not separate from art—it is art. A living, breathing, evolving practice that touches the soul.

Grateful to share this path with you. Whether you’re curious, seeking, or simply wish to rest in sound—you are welcome here.

What Is a Soundbath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are gently immersed in the healing vibrations of instruments such as crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, and chimes.

These sounds work on both a physical and neurological level: their harmonic frequencies help slow down brainwave activity, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and promote deep relaxation and emotional balance. Through acoustic resonance and brainwave entrainment, the body and mind naturally move toward a state of harmony, calm, and inner stillness.

What to Bring?
There are yoga mats, blankets and cushions, you can bring extra if you prefer. Wear some comfortable clothing.
